About the authors
Lindsey Goddard is an author of dark fiction, poetry, and true crime, living in Missouri, whose short stories have been published in e-zines such as Gamut Magazine and Carnage House, as well as in anthologies such as Error Code (Riverfolk Books). Her work has been performed on popular podcasts like Creepy Podcast and Chilling Tales for Dark Nights. She is the author of four short story collections, two poetry books, and a novel, Ashes of Another Life.
When not writing fiction, Bernard McGhee works on the editing desk of a busy newsroom, which provides a constant source of inspiration for horror and other stories of unusual mayhem. His work has appeared in “Apparition Literary Magazine,” “Cosmic Horror Monthly” and the anthology “Nightmare Sky: Stories of Astronomical Horror.” He was raised in the New Orleans area but has lived all around the country. He currently lives in the Atlanta area and spends too much time watching horror movies and listening to death metal. You can follow him on X at @BMcGhee13.
Tamika is author of THE CURSE OF HESTER GARDENS (Erewhon/Kensington, 2026) and Next Generation Indie Book Awards Horror Winner, UNSHOD, CACKLING, and NAKED, which Publishers Weekly calls "powerful," "unsettling," and "terrifying," as well as author of SALAMANDER JUSTICE, and fiction editor for Foreword INDIES Award-winning anthology, GRAFFITI. Her work has appeared in several speculative fiction anthologies as well as in Interzone, Prairie Schooner, The New York Times, and Los Angeles Review of Books, among others. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Columbia University and a Master of Arts in Journalism from the University of Southern California. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she hosts her own blog and newsletter, Tamika Talks Terror.
Curtis A. Deeter is an author of fantasy, science fiction, and horror. He lives in Ohio with his beautiful wife, Danielle, and his insanely, mad-scientist-level genius son, Theodore. When he is not writing, he can be found reading, discovering new music, and taste-testing craft beer at local breweries.

Phrique /frēk/ noun.
1. An exhibition, a strange deviation from nature. Adorable, Evil.
2. An extremely new and extremely YOUNG splatterpunk/extreme horror author with stories to tell. They’re kinda scary, kinda graphic, kinda campy, kinda stupid, kinda random. Kinda like him.
3. Phrique is a Pisces who enjoys crying and taking baths. His hobbies include angering the townspeople and outliving his enemies. His favorite color is purple & his favorite state is "your mom." Everything frightens him. Who are you people and who let you in here? Unhand me.
He can be found escaping his responsibilities here:

Jyl began her lifelong love affair with horror at a very young age. One fateful Saturday, when she was seven, her father fell asleep in his recliner. She assumed control of the TV and watched Poltergeist. A few years later, she convinced her local public librarian to allow her to check out Stephen King’s Needful Things. Jyl was born and raised in New York but lives in the South. Fall is her favorite season. She loves everything spooky and macabre, and it is always Halloween in her soul. She is a member of the Horror Writers Association and is an active supporter of the indie horror community. By day, she is an RN and works in healthcare leadership. In her “free” time, she works as a writer, an editor, a publisher, a medical writing coach for fiction authors, and also teaches yoga. Jyl loves to write poetry and stories and keep them in the “Graveyard” folder on her desktop until the right time comes to unleash them. She is the Curator of Chaos.
To connect with Jyl on social media, you can find her on Facebook as Jyl Glenn Writes or on Instagram and TikTok as @_delightfully_unhinged_
Zaq Cass is a rabid consumer of all things horror, spending his nights haunting an old factory and his days under the watchful eyes of several chickens. Alongside his wife, he lives in Indiana keeping four children content in the chaos they create. In what little free time he has, Zaq has started a small horror press and occasionally writes his own stories.
Elizabeth Devecchi spent her formative years in Rhode Island before setting out to gather degrees and experiences. She writes in a variety of genres and styles, but horror holds a special place in her heart.
Her recent releases include: “Oh, Brother,” in Black Spot Books’s women in horror poetry showcase, UNDER HER EYE (November 2023); “Mother’s Special Bread,” in Nightmare Fueled Inc’s anthology COOKS OF HORROR (August 2024); “In the Belly of the Mills,” in the anthology MONSTERS IN THE MILLS (August 2024); tech horror short story “A Corporate Family,” in Rabid Otter Horror anthology, ERROR CODE (November 2024); and “Easy Pickens,” in Wicked House Publishing’s debut anthology, WICKED UNIVERSE (December 2024).
Wicked House Publishing released Elizabeth’s debut horror novel, A WHISPER IN THE DARK, in October 2024.
Upcoming releases will include: short horror story “Open House,” to appear in a Running Wild Press anthology in 2025; and thriller/suspense novel, A TWIST OF THE LENS, to be published by Wicked House Publishing in mid-2025.
Elizabeth is a member of the Horror Writer’s Association, Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers, and Italian American Writers Association. She currently resides in Colorado with her family, which includes an ever-changing menagerie of pets and “guest creatures.”
